SECRETary SANTA Ideas - Series #3

It seems we're onto something here. Another gift guide request (this time from my mom's co-worker. Hi Molly!). Boyfriend's parents. Not easy.

WARNING : A lot of these seem a bit on the pricey side. While they are all perfectly nice gifts there are always alternatives out there if you google around enough.

1. Tickets to Billy Elliot
2. OR Blue Man AND
3. A gift certificate to Lettuce Entertain You : Or just one of these would also make a really nice night on the town.

4. Classical Grass Pass at Ravinia : $90 for 10 visits to see the Symphony Orchestra + 10% off other visits OR buy a gift voucher and choose your amount. AND...
5. Picnic Backpack : The necessities for a night at Ravinia all in one convenient, easy to carry pack. Red Envelope. $79.95. Cheaper alternative = Consider putting together your own basket of wine and cheese and throw a gift voucher in there.

6. Christmas Platter : I have been searching for a cute one online and just found a bunch tonight at Pier 1. Around $20. Matching dessert plates around $5 each. The link is for the only one I saw online. The others I saw in the store.

7. Personalized Stemless Wine Glasses : Pottery Barn. Set of 6, $40. **When I found these they were not on backorder...now they're shipping on Jan. 5th. Crate and Barrel also offers stemless. Try stores if you're interested!

8. Ugg Slippers for His Mom :  Or any sheepskin lined slipper. They are amazing and everyone in my house has a version of them. Zappos. $100.

9. Home Depot GC for His Dad : No explanation needed.

10. Fannie May : This was getting difficult. I started to think, "what would my mom be happy getting?" Simple. Chocolate. No over-doing it and still a nice thought. $22.99 per lb.

11. Wine of the Month Club : Then I started to think, "what would my Aunt (to remain nameless) be happy getting?" Way simple. Kendall Jackson. Translate that into the fave wine of your bf's mom OR enroll her in the Wine of the Month Club. $119 for 3 months.

12. Framed Picture : Did you take a nice picture of him and his parents recently? Maybe him and his sibs or cousins (Notice I didn't include you in the picture)? Get a print and put it in a nice silver frame. Target always has a good selection. This might be the best gift on the whole list.
