Suzani: From the Persian word for "needle." Refers to embroidered hangings or fabric coverings. A decorative tribal textile.

more news... i just saw some textiles at Jacaranda home (via a link on house beautiful's website) and this place called the designs "otomi" fabric. i guess otomi's are a mexican indian tribe. here's the link...

I am obsessed with Suzani and will often search on Ebay for pillowcases to frame...most are very affordable!
