An Audience of Design Bloggers

Today the Nate Berkus Show is filming in NYC with an audience made entirely of design bloggers. This came to be through the efforts of the Moggit Girls (the fugly girls of interior design) and the power of Twitter.

It happened like this:

1. Moggit Girls start tweeting about having a design blogger audience and tell everyone to retweet.
2. Producers of the Nate Show catch on and say the blogger audience could happen.
3. Moggit Girls declare June 15th "Nate Day" and band together with other bloggers to post about Nate, drawing attention to the already famous designer and his new show (which wasn't premiering until September 13th).
4. All of the bloggers who wrote about Nate on that day actually get invited to the show.
5. HGTV finds out about all this nonsense and invites all the design bloggers to lunch. That happened yesterday.

Moral of the story? Twitter. is. bananas.

Also, Chanee from {me} longings put together a Blogger Photo Guide of all the bloggers who are in the audience today. Making me a) jealous but b) excited to have a nice long list of blogs to visit.

Follow the Moggit Girls here (and follow me here!).

UPDATE: Apparantly the Nate Show was a hot mess with no mention of the gobs of design bloggers in the audience. Read more about it here, here, and here.
